Becoming a stallholder

Curated by Char – Market Terms & Conditions
 

By applying for or booking a stall with Curated by Char, you agree to the following terms and conditions.
 

1. Applications

All traders must complete the application form.
Submitting an application does not guarantee a space at the market.

Curated by Char carefully curates each market to ensure a varied mix of high quality handmade, independent and creative businesses. Applications are reviewed to maintain this balance.

Successful applicants will be contacted via email.
 

2. Products & Stall Allocation

Stalls are allocated at the discretion of the organiser to ensure a good variety of traders.

You may only sell the products that were listed and approved on your application form. Any additional products must be approved in advance. I reserve the right to refuse applications or remove traders whose products do not match what was originally approved.
 

The following products are not permitted at Curated by Char markets:
 

Copyright or trademarked products without the appropriate licensing (including branded characters, logos, or designs).

AI generated artwork or products created primarily using artificial intelligence.

Multi level marketing (MLM) businesses, including but not limited to companies such as The Body Shop At Home, FM Perfume, Avon, Scentsy, or similar direct sales brands.

Mass produced or wholesale products that are not designed or made by the trader themselves.
 

Curated by Char aims to support independent artists, makers, designers and small creative businesses.
 

Curated by Char reserves the right to refuse or remove any stall that does not comply with these guidelines.
 

3. Stall Fees, Payment & Cancellations

If your application is successful, you will receive an invoice via PayPal.

Your stall space is not confirmed until payment has been received.

All invoices must be paid in full by the due date stated on the invoice. Failure to pay by the due date may result in your stall being offered to another trader. If you no longer can make your stall, please let me know as soon as possible so that I can try to resell your stall. A refund will only be given if the stall is resold. Should you cancel within 14 days of the market date, you will not receive a refund.
 

4. Insurance & Documentation

All traders must hold valid Public Liability Insurance with a minimum cover of £2 million.

Copies of relevant documentation must be provided before the event where applicable, including:

Public Liability Insurance

Food Hygiene Certificates (if selling food)

Risk assessments if requested

Your stall will not be confirmed until the required documentation has been received.
 

5. Setup & Trading

Traders must arrive within the designated setup time provided before the event. An email will be sent with this information before the event.

All stalls must be set up and ready to trade before the market opens.

Traders must remain open and trading for the full duration of the event and must not pack down early unless agreed in advance.
 

6. Stall Presentation

Curated by Char markets focus on high quality stalls.

Traders are expected to present their stall professionally, including:

Appropriate table coverings
​Clear product displays

Clean and tidy stall space
Any displays must be secure to your table


​7. Health & Safety

Traders are responsible for ensuring their stall and products comply with all relevant health and safety regulations.

Traders must ensure their stall does not pose a hazard to visitors or other traders.
 

8. Conduct

Traders must behave respectfully toward other traders, customers, and venue staff.

Curated by Char reserves the right to ask traders to leave if behaviour is deemed inappropriate or disruptive.
 

9. Event Changes

Curated by Char reserves the right to change event dates, times, or stall layouts if necessary.

In the unlikely event that the market is cancelled by Curated by Char, traders will be moved to a new date where possible.
 

10. Liability

Curated by Char cannot be held responsible for:

Loss or damage to trader property

Loss of earnings

Personal injury unless caused by negligence

Traders are responsible for their own property, stock, and equipment.
